About Us

HISTORY

The passion for our land and the love of nature has been passed down from generation to generation. It was this feeling that helped us to create a traditional, family-run space in the region that saw us grow up.

With the Planet in mind, a subject of constant concern, we collaborated with our daughters and their creative and entrepreneurial ideas, recycling and restoring old furniture forgotten in the attic, giving it a new lease of life by creating a cosy and comfortable decoration inside the lodge, under the theme of the Macaws. Our passion for exotic birds gave rise to the name ‘Ninho D'Arara’!

We want holidaymakers and/or visitors to feel at home during every stay, enjoying and sharing the living room and kitchen.  However, close to nature in a quiet place where you can hear the birds and crickets and see some of the animals of the countryside up close, such as chickens, goats, ornamental ducks and peacocks, not forgetting the beautiful view of the Serra do Caramulo.

Here you can find a balance between authenticity and the lifestyle of today, which provides unique moments of comfort, tranquillity and simplicity.

This peace and quiet allows them to admire the best that Portugal has to offer - hospitality, gastronomy and nature, in a region full of secrets to discover.

THE REGION
Tondela, a county of charm and well-being!
Tondela is a municipality full of attractions and reasons for interest, whose crown jewel is the diversity of its landscapes, especially the Serra do Caramulo, as well as its immense green spaces, rivers and leisure areas.
The Dão Ecotrailway, its hiking trails and the mountain villages full of history and customs, with a vast heritage, allied to gastronomy and the unmistakable Dão wine, make this a municipality with an unmistakable identity.
The endogenous products, especially the kid goat, honey, chestnuts, corn and oranges from Besteiros, as well as the hospitable people, the unique collections in the Art and Automobile Museums (Caramulo) and Terras de Besteiros, make a visit to this region of well-being essential, from where you can take a piece of black clay from Molelos as a souvenir.
